Finally, a layer they can live in! This cozy sweatshirt is a year-round staple, designed to handle everyday wear and exploration. Made from a combination of bamboo and organic cotton, with just a touch of spandex for that comfy stretch. Plus, our fabric is enhanced with gold, so that it fights off odor, stains, moisture, and bacteria. A sustainable product, purpose-built for your little explorer.

Why We Love It

These baby clothes check every box:

* Bacteria- and odor-resistant fabric that keeps its shape through multiple wears

* Garment dyed in gender neutral tones, leaving an extra soft feel

* Tag-less and pre-shrunk

* Snap closures at the collarbone or shoulder for easy changes

* Long-sleeved garments have thumb holes in the sleeves for better hand protection

* 100% California-made: fabric sourced in Los Angeles; cut, sewn, and dyed in San Francisco

* Eco-friendly shipping: compostable envelopes, recyclable wrapping, no plastic

Sizing and Fit

Our products intentionally run larger, so that your little one can wear them for longer. We recommend purchasing items more “true to age.” Our 12-18 month size is comparable to an 18-month Carters product.

Materials

50% cotton, 40% poly, 10% PurThread.

Purthread safely embeds ionized silver into filament yarn to help fight the bacteria that cause odor, mildew, and more. This keeps clothes smelling fresher and lasting longer, even after hundreds of washes.

Our fabrics are UPF rated as providing excellent sun protection, and block 99% of UVA and UVB rays.

Shipping & Returns

Free shipping on US orders over $75.

Full refund on unworn, undamaged products returned within 30 days.

Domestic orders fulfilled by USPS. International shipping available to Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, and Spain. Shipping rates calculated at checkout. International orders subject to additional import taxes managed by UPS.

Care Instructions

Wash however you wash. You already have a lot on your plate :)

For optimal results, we recommend machine washing in cold water and drying on low.

Great gift

I've gotten this for a bunch of my friends who recently had kids and they all rave about how soft and durable it is. Can't wait to get one for my own in a few months time :)

Baby’s favorite layer

I love this sweatshirt for my six month old! It’s my favorite warm layer for our outdoor activities, so soft and comfy and holds up very well to messes. I already bought the next size so he can keep wearing it as he grows.

Awesome Fabric...and It Covers That Tush!

The sweatshirt has held up very well to my toddler's using it outdoors--no snags or pilling from being rubbed against twiggy bushes, jagged rocks, scratchy stucco, or gritty sand. It's maintained its shape through lots of wearing and washing! LOVE how soft, warm, breathable and perfectly stretchy the sweatshirt is--so easy to pull over my toddler's big head, and easy for him to slide his arms through the long sleeves! One MAJOR perk is that it covers his little tush as he's bending, crouching, and squatting every 10 steps to dip his hand into a puddle, scoop up a pile of leaves, or look closely at a worm. This is my FAVORITE layering piece for my toddler, hands down. Easy peasy piece for indoors and out! My kid loves to wear it. It moves well with him. It's snuggly, but not puffy (making it easy to still buckle him into his car seat without readjusting straps). It was our workhorse during a recent international trip--keeping him alternately warm and cool enough as plane temps fluctuated; and after spilling apple juice on it and having to store it in a bag for a few days, it didn't stink when I pulled it out to wash (I think the GOLD enhancements actually worked as advertised!). Also love the gender neutral design so I can easily hand it down when he outgrows it! :) (Sizing note: We like how the size 4 fits our 2.5yo's shoulders and torso, but the sleeves do require some rolling up for now.)

My favorite

First Peak gear just keeps getting better. We really liked the onesies when my son was younger. He wore them everywhere - good sun protection, good looking, and they fit really well. Now he’s got the dope crew neck and i wish they made adult sizes. and I wouldn’t say no to some overalls either or like a jumpsuit.

Best Sweatshirt EVER

Hands down the best toddler sweatshirt out there -- buttery soft, warm, stylish -- and stands up to any and every mess. My kid will use the sleeve as his own boogie wipe and it never gets gross and wet. When he is teething and drooling all day long, no need for a bib. This is a stylish sweatshirt, tissue, and bib all in one. If only they made one for parents of dripping toddlers :)
